The fantasy always began with the Osmond's tour bus, completely lost on its way to Madison Square Garden. And at the wheel? None other than the dreamy, feather-haired British pop idol Simon Turner, completely baffled by the grid of Queens streets.

 

In a twist of absolute fate, the bus would hiss to a halt and pull up right in front of my house. Out would step Donny Osmond, sent on a mission to ask for directions. His footsteps would echo up my brick steps until he pressed my doorbell.
